Construction workers tend to start work early and often have to work at weekends to meet strict deadlines. So whether you are a bricklayer, carpenter, tiler, roofer or plumber the work will be tough and demanding. Career advancement opportunities are very good, you can progress towards supervisory and management roles as well as maybe starting your own business someday.
It is likely to always be an in demand skill as new buildings are always needed due to an ever growing population and at the same time older buildings require refurbishment, repair or replacement. It is also a skill than can be taken around the world with great employment prospects almost everywhere.
